a) The little Sharon Robinson Section
Mit Sharon Robinson verbindet Leonard Cohen sowohl eine lange Freundschaft wie auch Zusammenarbeit, die er bei der Welttournee 2008-2010 stets ,,Kollabatoreurin" nannte, bzw. als ,,Co-Produzentin" vorstellte. Zum ersten Mal fand diese Kollaboration 1979/ 1980 statt, als sie an dem Song ,,Summertime" arbeiteten, und dieser Song von Diana Ross und Roberta Flack aufgenommen wurde. Später arbeiteten Sie an den Songs ,,Waiting for the Miracle" (1993) and ,,Everybody Knows" (1988) zusammen. Einen Grammy award erhielt Robinson für ihr Songwriting bei Patti LaBelle's ,,New Attitude". Bevor Robinson dann auf ,,Ten New Songs" (2001) und ,,Dear Heather" (2004) die Zusammenarbeit mit Cohen als Co-Produzentin und Co-Writerin fortführte wurde sie auch als Songschreiberin für die Pointer Sisters, Aaron Neville, the Temptations, Randy Crawford, Brenda Russell, Ute Lemper, Don Henley sowie die Jazzmusiker Vanessa Rubin und Carl Anderson bekannt.
